Tyler Denny vs Felix Cash – Who wins and how?
In-form fighter Tyler Denny (18-2-3, 1KO) defends his European middleweight title to undefeated phenom Felix Cash (16-0, 10KO), in Birmingham this Saturday, June 22, live on DAZN.
The 160-pounders headline the Matchroom Boxing show in the Midlands with Lewis Crocker vs Conah Walker providing chief support, and the likes of Hamza Uddin filling the undercard.
Denny will enter the ring second as the defending champion. The southpaw from Rowley Regis has enjoyed an incredible run of recent results ever since his narrow mixed decision loss to Linus Udofia in 2019.
Victories over four unbeaten opponents followed, including Derrick Osaze; River Wilson-Bent; Bradley Rea; Brad Pauls, whose combined records total to 52-0-1.
And it didn’t stop there, it only got better. A split decision win over the incessant, durable Macauley McGowan followed in May 2023, to add the EBU External middleweight title to his English belt.
That triumph set up the biggest fight of his nine-year professional career against the defending European middleweight champion, Matteo Signani.
It was a close contest, Denny countering well, but was caught and rocked with a big left hook in the fifth, of which he took well and weathered, despite being clearly dazed by the shot.
A clash of heads in the seventh opened up a bad cut on the right eye of the Italian, which caused the contest to be stopped in the eighth.
It was a slightly bizarre turn of events, as Signani’s corner were delayed in sending their man out for the eighth round, he didn’t even have his gumshield in, and it was evident there was a lack of desire to continue, so the referee Philippe Wouters called it off.
The unbeaten challenger will certainly be the best opponent Denny has faced 23-fight career so far.
Although he hasn’t fought in 18 months, Chertsey’s Cash is aggressive, experienced, intelligent, durable and hard-hitting. His career-best win came in 2021 when he ripped the British middleweight title away from Denzel Bentley with a third-round TKO.
Prior to that, he had stopped both Jason Welborn and Jack Cullen, and he also has respectable scalps over unbeaten Magomed Madiev (UD10) and Stephen Danyo (UD10).
As such, the challenger is currently the bookies favourite heading into the contest.

Predictions
Tyler Denny has put together an incredible run of results, but I believe it ends here with Felix Cash, unfortunately.
Denny doesn’t possess the power to trouble Cash, so he will need to box clever with his accurate counters for the full 12 rounds, which is a long time to be in there with such a hard-hitting, constantly advancing opponent.
After a year and a half out, I expect Cash to come out like a wrecking ball in an attempt to finish Denny early. There will be a left hook that lands heavily at some point and when Denny is rocked by that, the fight will be stopped very shortly after.
I predict a stoppage victory to Felix Cash within the first six rounds.
