Felix Cash is out of European clash with Matteo Signani
Sports Journalist Chris McKenna of the Daily Star broke the news today that Felix Cash's European middleweight title clash with reigning champion Matteo Signani is now off.
He reported, "Felix Cash v Matteo Signani is off this weekend. Cash has pulled out."
Matchroom Boxing then announced that Cash has unfortunately suffered from an illness on fight week and wished him a speedy recovery.
The middleweights were due to appear on the Joshua-Franklin undercard at the O2 Arena in London, this Saturday, April 1, live on DAZN.
Having won British and Commonwealth titles, the EBU belt was the next rung on the ladder to world titles for the 29-year-old from Chertsey, Surrey. The five-time national amateur champion is unbeaten as a professional and currently ranked WBA #10, IBF #8, WBO #5, IBO #11.
Cash-Signani has already been replaced with Galal Yafai vs Moises Calleros. Birmingham's Yafai defends the WBC International flyweight title he won in his pro debut for the third time to Mexican Calleros. The pair were due to meet in San Antonio, Texas, on April 8 on the undercard of Murodjon Akhmadaliev vs Marlon Tapales, but the bout has now been brought forward a week.
