Rivals Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia continue to taunt each other
Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia continue to go at one another verbally ahead of their fight in April and now Haney has told people to “stop paying attention to his trolling.”
In recent weeks, the upcoming fight has grabbed headlines, largely due to Garcia’s outspokenness on social media. Garcia has stirred the pot by calling out MMA stars, griping about ticket prices, voicing displeasure over the fight’s location at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn rather than Las Vegas, and even allegedly showing up drunk at press conferences.
Adding fuel to the fire, he leaked sparring footage of his opponent against Gervonta Davis from the Mayweather gym. Set for April 20, the bout features Haney, a former undisputed lightweight champion, defending the super lightweight belt he secured from Regis Prograis last year.
Now in a message posted on social media platform X, Haney has spoken out about all the drama from Garcia, who has accused ‘The Dream’ of fighting for belts an not legacy.
“Stop paying attention too his trolling.. this dude is trying to rock everybody too sleep!”
He will need to be at his very best both physically and mentally if he is to successfully challenge for his first world honours next month with the current record between these from the amateurs sitting at three wins each out of six total contests.
