“The fight is closed. They placed the reward and on April 20th I will capture that reward and return home with the victory and with my belt,” commented reigning champion Haney.
“When I first got into the game, I just wanted to make money and then I did. But now I want to go for the legacy, I want to go for the belts and Devin is in the way,” declared Garcia.
As an amateur, Devin won seven national championships and crafted a record of 130-8, becoming the youngest boxer to win the World Junior Championships.
Ryan also enjoyed a hugely successful amateur career, where he was crowned national champion 15 times and clocked up a 215-15 record.
These top amateur champions locked horns six times with the score set at 3-3.
