Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker set for Saudi in 2025
IBF World heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21KO) puts his belt on the line against Joseph Parker (35-3, 23KO) at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, February 22, it has been confirmed.
Also announced was Zhilei Zhang’s matchup with Agit Kabayel in another heavyweight cracker.
New Zealand’s Parker, 32, has enjoyed a fantastic run of results since his last defeat to Joe Joyce in 2022. Five victories in 14 months culminated in the Kiwi being crowned WBO Interim heavyweight champion.
The likeable former world champion has scalped Jack Massey; Aussie star Faiga Opelu; Canadian Simon Kean; fearsome puncher Deontay Wilder; and the thumping Chinese powerhouse, Zhilei Zhang.
IBF titleholder Dubois has also been on an unbelievable run, with three career-best wins over Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua, all within nine months time.
British middleweight sensation Hamzah Sheeraz (21-0, 17KO) lands a world title shot at the WBC champ Carlos Adames (24-1, 18KO); and Jaron Ennis (33-0, 29KO) is due to defend his IBF welterweight belt to unbeaten Vergil Ortiz (22-0, 21KO), but talks are still progressing according to promoter Eddie Hearn.
