Chantelle Cameron has split with long-term trainer Jamie Moore
News broke yesterday that former world champion Chantelle Cameron has split from long-time trainer Jamie Moore and now she has revealed who she will be working with in future.
Most famously, Chantelle Cameron has two epic battles with pound-for-pound female fighting great Katie Taylor and it is thought that a third and final deciding fight could be on the cards.
Northampton’s Cameron won the first fight in convincing fashion and Taylor then won the rematch to set up a mouthwatering decider.
When she first turned pro, Cameron teamed up with Shane McGuigan before then moving on to work with Moore in 2019. With the Manchester man she became undisputed super-lightweight champion by beating Jessica McCaskill in Abu Dhabi in November 2022 and then defended her belts against Taylor back in May 2023.
In November, Taylor got her revenge and now they could meet again this summer though Moor told Pro Boxing fans that it would be without him by Cameron’s side as the two parted ways on amicable terms.
32-year-old “Il Capo” Cameron has now taken to the social media platform X to post a message about where she will now train.
“A new chapter with Grant Smith. I want to express my gratitude to Jamie and Nigel for the brilliant run we have together. I love them both to pieces and will always be grateful for everything they have done for me.”

Grant is best known for coaching his son Dalton Smith, one of the UK’s brightest fighting prospects and a possible opponent for Adam Azim in an enticing all-British clash.
