Arijan Gorički has revenge in mind when he rematches with Valerii Romanenia
Arijan Gorički (8-1-1) aims to avenge his only career defeat when meets unbeaten Ukrainian Valerii Romanenia (3-0, 1KO) for a second time in Velesajam, Zagreb, Croatia on October 16, broadcast live on Zapad TV. The featherweights will square off over eight-rounds.
Ukraine's Valerii Romanenia is a 27 years old southpaw, unbeaten in three bouts with one KO, which he scored on his June 2020 debut.
This pair fought once before, in July this year at the Seebuhne Elbauenpark in Germany. Valerii won via UD 59-54, 60-55, 58-55.
'Archie' Goricki is now keen to settle the score, "It will be our rematch, after Romanenia won the first fight over six rounds in July. He has a very long amateur career and as a professional he's undefeated. The first fight was supposed to be at eight rounds, but due to television, it was moved to six rounds a few days before the fight. This fight will be over eight rounds.
"Just as all mistakes in life must be corrected, I must correct my own. In the first fight, my eardrum ruptured in the first round and I was not mentally in the fight for three rounds at least, when my hearing came back it was too late because the fight was already at the finish line.
"I am glad that this time I will have a new coach, Marko Bracic with me, we have made a great plan for the fight, I am looking forward to implementing the plan and to winning and to look good doing it.
"Unfortunately the crowd is not allowed to the fight but TV Zapad was making sure that everyone can watch fights on their social media and TV."
The 24-year-old Croatian added, "I need to thank my friends and sponsors who support me and help me to rank myself on the world scene."
