Anthony Joshua is making huge money from Wallin and Wilder fights
According to Deontay Wilder, AJ is pocketing £40,000,000 for his next two fights.
Joshua's reported £40million purse for Wallin in December and Wilder in March will be a career-high payday for the man from Watford, who only started boxing at 18.
The former WBC world champion, Wilder, stated, "But everyone will get in the ring for the right price, especially when there is over $50million on the table."
AJ faces Swedish southpaw Otto Wallin on December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, over 12-rounds at heavyweight. Then, the former two-weight world champion heads straight back into to camp to prepare for his mega showdown with long-term rival Deontay Wilder on Mrch 9, 2024, back in Saudi Arabia again.
However, this is on the condition that both opponents win their festive fights, on the eve of Christmas Eve. Wallin gave Tyson Fury one of the toughest fights of his career in 2019 when he cut him from a punch early in the contest, which later required 47 stitches. And 'The Bronze Bomber' has to emerge victorious against former WBO World champion, Joseph Parker, who is a good fighter, intelligent, experienced and as tough as they come.
Many are expecting both to triumph, but it's not a foregone conclusion. Wallin has never been knocked out and took Fury's best shots to body and head, and Parker was knocked out by Joyce but it took him 11 rounds of hard work to get there.
