Ouizza and Lallemand win Francophone WBC titles
This Saturday, July 6, at the Salle Bayard in Charleville-Mézières, France, two WBC Francophone titles were contested.
In the first fight Walid Ouizza (19-2, 8KO) won by unanimous decision in an entertaining fight against Cameroon-based in Switzerland fighter Bryan Venant Fanga (11-2-1, 4KO), winning the World Boxing Council Francophone super-lightweight title.
The 32-year-old Ouizza is a European Silver, European Union and former French champion, ranked No.1 in France.
In another fight on the card, with the WBC Francophone women’s flyweight title at stake, Justine Lallemand (11-3-1, 1KO) defeated Inna Statkevych (6-6-3) by decision, in a fight where they did not fit together very well due to their styles.
Also 32 from France, Lallemand is a former French champion who has challenged for the European title twice.
The supervisor of these fights was Vice President, Houcine Houichi.
