Russian amateur star Dmitri Dvali badly injured in street attack

Russian Boxing Federation monitors situation with European champion Dmitri Dvali reports the organization’s press service.
Earlier, social networks reported that Russian and European boxing champion Dvali, 23 from Balashikha defended the boy who was beaten by the crowd and was seriously injured during the fight.
The Investigative Committee of Crimea and Sevastopol is establishing the circumstances of the fight in Feodosia, because of which Dvali could lose an eye.
The chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, will be given a report on the circumstances of the fight in Feodosia, as a result of which the European boxing champion Dmitri Dvali and his friend were injured, the press service of the commission of inquiry reported.
Earlier it was reported that 23-year-old Dvali defended a boy who was beaten by the crowd and was seriously injured in the fight. The Investigative Committee of Crimea and Sevastopol is establishing the circumstances of the fight, due to which Dvali could lose an eye.
The head of the department instructed the head of the Main Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol VN to submit a report on the progress of the criminal investigation and all established circumstances. The progress of the investigation into the case was monitored by the central office of the department,” the statement said.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism), paragraph “a”, Part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous harm to health).
Dvali is the 2024 European champion and the 2023 world bronze medalist.
