Dzmitry Asanau delighted to join Eye of the Tiger
Continuing its mission to recruit top talents both locally and internationally, Eye of the Tiger welcomes the double Olympian Dzmitry Asanau (7-0, 3 KOs) to its ranks.
Equipped with an impeccable work ethic and undeniable talent, the Belarusian athlete has chosen to partner with the Montreal-based organisation to achieve professional success that matches his high ambitions.
“I am delighted to join Eye of the Tiger and very excited to advance my career. I am here to train hard, climb the ranks, and win a world title. With their support, I am confident we will reach the top,” said Dzmitry Asanau.
Following an impressive amateur career in which he amassed a record of 250 fights, Dzmitry Asanau has faced some of the biggest names in the sport, including the phenomenon Andy Cruz, former champion Hector Luis Garcia, and even the former unified champion, Murodjon Akhmadaliev.
In addition to representing his country at the Rio Olympics in 2016 and Tokyo in 2021, he notably won a bronze medal at the 2015 Amateur World Championships and gold at the 2018 European Games. Although he has been competing professionally only since February 2022, he already has 6 fights scheduled for 8 rounds among his 7 victories, demonstrating his firm intention to conquer the world rankings. His new team shares this vision.
“We are adding elite-level talent to a stable that already had a lot of depth,” said Eye of the Tiger president, Camille Estephan. “His track record in the amateur ranks speaks for itself. We anticipate great achievements for Dzmitry in the professional ranks, and we will do everything we can to help him accomplish his goals.”
“Dzmitry is a boxer with pure talent! Agile, creative, and with an impressive amateur background, he is a fantastic acquisition for EOTTM. We won’t beat around the bush with him; the goal is to get him into action quickly and secure championship fights for him,” added his new corner man, Samuel Décarie-Drolet.
The date of Dzmitry Asanau’s first fight under the Montreal banner will be announced soon. For more information, follow EOTTM on Facebook, X, and Instagram @eottm_boxing
