Here is what Mills had to say about his matchup with Marruffo, his recent training camp, and more.
On his recent training camp:
“As I move forward in my career, I feel like my training camps are getting better, in the fact that I know exactly what to work on based on my most recent fight. Boxing is a sport where you are always learning new things and sharpening up on the stuff you do well. For this camp, I definitely feel I’ve improved on many aspects of my game.”
On his matchup with Jose Marruffo:
“Marruffo has a lot of experience fighting tough opposition. He’s fought many undefeated fighters and has done well against a few of them. My goal of course is to end the fight early, but I’m in great shape if the fight goes the distance. I’m going into this fight with the strategy my coach and I have devised, and we believe we have the right game plan in place to come out on top.”
On fighting on DAZN:
“Fighting on DAZN is a tremendous blessing because the world will get to see what I bring to the ring. I want to deliver a great performance for those watching on TV and God willing gain some new fans.”
On fighting during Hall of Fame weekend:
“This will be my second time fighting during Hall of Fame weekend and its amazing. All the biggest stars past and present will be in attendance and it’s a good feeling to be fighting in front of legends. I will have the support from my local fans and family, and that is always a good feeling. I cherish these moments and I’m going to perform at my very best.”
