Boxing Writers of America Association Awards
Thursday, June 6th, was a glorious celebration for those who write and report about boxing.
Many journalists and humanitarians were honoured for their skills and for keeping boxing current and in the public eye.
Among the writers and boxers given awards, Lisa McClellan, sister of boxer Gerald McClellan, was recognised for the phenomenal care she’s given her brother since his near fatal injury in the Ring. She received the Courage Award. The WBC has been very much a part of Lisa’s efforts and continue to stand with her.
Another recipient of the Courage Award was Ed Mulholland who thanked the WBC and Mauricio Sulaiman.
