Liverpool's Rocky Fielding (25-1) added the Commonwealth super-middleweight strap to his British title with an explosive opening round victory over Scotsman David Brophy (19-2-1).
The 30-year-old British champion came out all guns blazing at the Echo Arena and Brophy's unanswered punches caused referee, Steve Gray, to rightfully call a halt to the contest.
It was a heavy right hook that took the 27-year-old from Caldercruix down to the floor but he was clearly out of his depth with the super-middleweight Lonsdale belt holder.
Rocky, whipped into shape by new trainer Jamie Moore, used the first 45-seconds to feel out his counterpart until backed up onto the ropes and taking an overhand right flush to the face, saw him spin off and punish the Scot with big uppercuts and right hands.
Midway through the round, a counter left hook from Rocky caused Brophy to stagger momentarily. Sensing the finish, the Liverpudlian waded in to with big shots to the body and head, forcing him to take a knee.
The Scot bravely rose to his feet but Fielding was merciless and the 30-year-old bounced into the centre of the ring to back Brophy up before a huge right hook rocked his head back and was saved from further damage by the referee.
"Brophs" conceded his Commonwealth crown to Rocky, which he had won in emphatic fashion in Australia by knocking out undefeated Zac Dunn in Melbourne in March this year.
Rocky become a two-belt champion at super-middleweight with his fourth straight win since his sole career loss to Callum Smith in November 2015.
