Dave Allen revealed his next opponent will be Karim Berredjem
Today on his YouTube channel, ‘The White Rhino’ Dave Allen (24-8-2, 19 KOs) revealed his next opponent will be Karim Berredjem (12-10, 3 KOs) on the undercard of the Leigh Wood vs Josh Warrington rematch in Nottingham on February 21.
This will be Allen’s 35th pro fight, now aged 33, and his first outing in four months since his last fight in 2025. On October 25, the brave Brit took on the fearsome Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov in an unforgettable night at a sold-out Sheffield’s Utilita Arena. One judge scored it closely at 115-111, as Allen lost on all three scorecards.
Keen to keep up the momentum, in a career that has largely stalled since his pro debut in December 2012, Allen is preparing to get back in the ring against an opponent that may appear a little underwhelming compared to his last few foes, which includes the likes of Frazer Clarke, Johnny Fisher, and aforementioned ‘Lion’ Makhmuduv.
So, who exactly is his next opponent, Karim Berredjem? BBN found out as much info as possible on Allen’s next target.
Who is Karim Berredjem?
Karim Berredjem was born August 29, 1986, in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and is currently 39-years-old.
The Frenchman won his first three fights in 2014.
He challenged for the French heavyweight title in May 2017, but lost to Cyril Leonet on a unanimous decision.
Karim challenged for the same belt again in September 2018, but this time he was stopped inside the first-round by 10-0 Raphael Tronche.
Eventually, Berredjem took five shots at the French heavyweight title, between 2017-2023, but disappointingly fell short in all five championship contests.
His last bout was in May 2025, which was his first fight in 20 months, and he won it by 60-54, 60-54, 59-55.
He has fought 20 of his pro fights in France, but also boxed abroad in Finland and Belgium, too.
His home city of Clermont-Ferrand was also home to André (1853–1931) and Édouard Michelin (1859–1940), creators of the Michelin tyre group, whose global headquarters are still located in Clermont-Ferrand.
He is a Real Madrid fan.
