Tyson Fury shares latest footage of him training for Oleksandr Usyk undisputed showdown
Tyson Fury is hard at work in training for his next fight with Oleksandr Usyk but has taken a moment to send a message to his upcoming opponent.
Many people think Fury has a lot to prove after his last showing in Saudi Arabia.
The WBC and lineal, unbeaten heavyweight champion of the world took on a former UFC champion turned boxing novice in Francis Ngannou and was put down on the canvas in the third round. He rallied but failed to impose himself and was lucky in many people’s eyes to run out a narrow points winner.
That came after routine wins over the likes of Derek Chisora and Dillian Whyte in the last year or so, while Usyk has been in much better form. His last three outings saw him take three world titles from defending champion Anthony Joshua in his own back yard in London in 2021, then successfully defend them in an immediate rematch, and then see off the challenge of Daniel Dubois with a knockout win in his last fight last August.
Although Fury was ringside to see Joshua spectacularly knock out Ngannou last weekend, he is now back in training and has posted a video and a message for Usyk.
“Working extremely hard for may 18 undisputed heavyweight championship of the world only in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For the first time in history will there be a 6 belt undisputed king. All to fight for. #Bringit. #gohardorgohome #uk #fight #boxer RULEGK all for the a grace of God. “HAVE I NOT
COMMANDED YOU? BE STRONG _AND COURAGEOUS DO NOT BE AFRAID; DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL BE WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO? JOSHUA 1:9”
Whoever comes out on top in this much-anticipated fight will likely be paired off with Anthony Joshua for another epic night of heavyweight action later in the year.
