Tyson Fury lists all the fights he is planning to have before retiring
Despite plenty of chat in boxing circles, it seems that Tyson Fury is not going to retire any time soon.
The WBC and Lineal heavyweight champion of the world has been the most talked about fighter on the planet for the last week.
A cut sustained in sparring by a Croatian heavyweight caused great concern last Friday and has meant that the undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk has had to be moved from February 17 to May 18.
The delay worried many pundits and fans, who began to wonder if maybe the fight would never happen at all and the unpredictable Fury might end up leaving the sport behind altogether having already achieved so much.
However, ‘The Gypsy King’ responded directly to this line and took to Instagram to post a video saying as much.
“I’m hearing talk of people saying that I should retire or I’m gonna retire soon, or whatever. I ain’t retiring anywhere.”
He then outlined what fights he sees in front of him.
“I’ve got two fights with Usyk, for the undisputed twice. Then I’m gonna fight AJ at least once. maybe twice if there’s a rematch, if he wants one after the first battering I give him.
“And then I’m gonna fight Ngannou again. And that’s just to start. So there’s five little fights for you to whet your appetite with. I ain’t going nowhere. Nowhere. I’m 35 year old in the prime of my life.”
The one fight many want to see is Fury versus Anthony Joshua, which could well happen if both men come through their next fights.
