Tyson Fury reveals which bout in history he believes is the greatest heavyweight fight ever and Frank Warren agrees
Never one to shy away from a bold opinion, Tyson Fury has named what he thinks is the greatest heavyweight fight ever.
Fury has always had lots of things to say on many subjects in boxing and it is that which has helped to make him into one of the sport’s most recognisable stars.
He is currently deep in camp for the biggest fight of his career when he takes on unbeaten former undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in the first undisputed heavyweight fight for almost 25 years on May 18.
He will need to get back to his very best after straightforward wins over the likes of Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora and struggling with boxing debutant Francis Ngannou last time out in October. Before that run, he was involved in a legendary trilogy with fearsome American puncher Deontay Wilder out in the United States.
He drew the first fight, rather controversially after boxing superbly well having been out of the ring so long, and then won the second two by knockout after lots of grueling back and forth.
Speaking on Queensbury Promotion’s YouTube channel, Fury gave his controversial view of the third fight.“This Wilder 3, I think it was the best heavyweight fight that there has ever been.”
Frank Warren agreed.
“That was the best heavyweight fight that I have attended, probably the best fight I have attended,” enthused the Hall of Fame promoter.
