Tim Tszyu vs Terence Crawford in talks for summer clash
Tim Tszyu already has his next fight date locked in but he is now said to be in talks for a big summer fight with former two-weight undisputed champion Terrence Crawford this summer.
Fox Sports is now reporting that there have already been discussions between the two camps about this potential fight per Tszyu’s manager Glen Jennings
“We’ve already had discussions about Tszyu versus Crawford. I received a call from Crawford’s business manager, who is a friend of mine … but it still came out of the blue. It was shortly before the Mendoza fight. And he just came out straight away and said ‘would you be interested in putting Tim in the ring with Terence?’ I said ‘of course we would’.I then asked what time frame they were talking about and he replied ‘what about right now?’”
Crawford hasn’t fought since July when he looked hugely impressive on his way to a knockout victory over fellow welterweight star Errol Spence Jr. That win gave him all four belt sin the division, mirroring his achievement down at lightweight some years ago.
