How to watch Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou
To the surprise of many, Anthony Joshua is poised to take on Francis Ngannou in his next contest in under three weeks’ time. Now, broadcasters have been confirmed for the heavyweight showdown, including one that wasn’t expected for fans in the United Kingdom.
Ngannou fought a spirited fight against Tyson Fury on his professional boxing debut, knocking down ‘The Gypsy King’ before losing a razor-thin split-decision to the WBC champion, in a performance that he and the entirety of the MMA community will be rightfully proud of for years to come.
Meanwhile Anthony Joshua is gunning for the heavyweight throne in a bid to become a three-time world champion and the Brit confirmed last month that he would take on Ngannou, with the victor well poised for a shot at the winner of Fury’s undisputed clash against Oleksandr Usyk.
Following the announcement, there were whispers that Joshua-Ngannou could be shown on TNT Sports, as well as DAZN, despite the generational rivalry between promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn, due to Warren’s strong relationship with Turki Al-Alshikh and the Saudi officials. However, it was today declared that Joshua-Ngannou will be shown on DAZN and Sky Sports in a shocking twist of events.
Sky Sports have had a history of broadcasting boxing’s biggest box office events, but they are yet to show an Anthony Joshua fight since his defeat to Usyk in 2021 and have been far less involved in recent Saudi boxing shows in comparison to DAZN and TNT Sports.
Both DAZN and Sky Sports will offer to full card to UK viewers on pay-per-view on Friday March 8th, with a price to be confirmed imminently, that will be expected to be similar to the £21.95 charged for Fury-Ngannou back in October.
