Ben Shalom refutes Chris Eubank Jr’s claim to being a free agent
Chris Eubank Jr recently took to social media to tell everyone that he is a free agent, writing: “Just so we’re all clear, I am a completely FREE agent… No ties, no promoter, and no limits.”However, BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom refutes that, revealing to Pro Boxing Fans, “It hasn’t ended, so no,” when discussing his contract.
He added, “It’s funny because I’ve got a good relationship with Chris, that’s all I all I can say right now, that’s the reality.”
When asked if he expects to be involved in his next fight, he simply answered, “Yes.”
36-year-old Eubank Jr was last in action in November 2025, suffering from a unanimous decision defeat to Conor Benn. His performance that night was uncharacteristic, later revealed that he had been suffering from health problems before the rematch.
In the first fight, seven months earlier, it was the Brighton boxer that won via UD, thrilling fans with a fight of the year spectacular back and forth war.
‘The Next Gen’ had moved to Dubai and had two twin boys in recent months. His future in boxing is uncertain, but the former IBO world champion is clearly set on fighting again, despite earning over £15 million last year and closing in on 40 pro fights.
