Brits Sandy Ryan and Chantelle Cameron clash online
Former undisputed champion Chantelle Cameron has been called out by Sandy Ryan on social media, with the pair trading blows in a brutal war of words.
While it was WBO world welterweight champion Ryan who initiated the exchange on Tuesday, Cameron did not hold back, with both seeking to garner interest for a potential all-British showdown.
On X, Ryan said: “Are you finished moaning and crying yet [Cameron?] If so give [Eddie Hearn] a call and I’ll give you a shot at my world title or is it true that he’s dropped you?”
Cameron replied saying: “Sandy shut the f*** up you social media whore. Keep that energy when you see me in real life because you always s*** your pants. If you really want the beef why don’t you ring me & keep it off socials you fool.
To which Ryan responded, and said: “You ain’t never approached me in real life you little b**** and you will know deep down I’m about it.”
The row did not stop there, with fans left stunned by the unexpected animosity shown between two fighters who, until now, seemed to be on different trajectories.
Ryan comes off a dominant fourth-round stoppage victory over Terri Harper last month, when she put on one of her most complete performances to retain her title in Sheffield.
This came after her controversial draw against Jessica McCaskill last year in Orlando, Florida, where Ryan was left devastated after being denied the WBC and WBA straps.
Down at super lightweight, Cameron comes off a majority decision defeat to Katie Taylor who, despite losing to the Brit in her only blemish as a professional earlier last year, was able to reclaim the belts in November, resuming her undisputed status.
Now, it seems that the pair could be on a collision course, with Ryan offering up her belt at 147 lbs.
