Relaxed Francis Ngannou is convinced Anthony Joshua is nervous ahead of their Saudi showdown
Francis Ngannou continues to taunt Anthony Joshua in the build-up to their huge heavyweight fight this Friday, March 8, and now he has claimed that the Brit is ‘a little nervous’ ahead of the contest.
There has been plenty of back and forth between the two fighters in the lead-up to their much-anticipated fight, with Ngannou saying he has the power to knock out any man, while Joshua had a dig at Ngannou for letting Fury recover in the ring after he knocked him down in the third round of their fight back in October 2023.
That was Ngannou’s impressive pro debut in the squared circle having already conquered the world of MMA as UFC heavyweight champion, and now he has another huge test in the form of two-time titlist Joshua who is looking to become world champion for the third time at some point in the near future.
A video shared by Queensbury shows the Cameroonian discussing Joshua’s behaviour while the two big men were doing the filming for the epic promotional video for their fight which is being dubbed ‘Knockout Chaos’.
“We were doing the promo and he was very chilled and very relaxed, but I asked him if he was OK, he looked a little nervous, so I asked him if he was OK, cause I was OK, I had no problem, I was joking around, laughing.
“It was a pro, nothing was going to happen there. I think we both are professional enough to know what we have to do to get where we want to.”
