Postponed Matchroom fight has been pushed back two months
Jordan Flynn had been gearing up for what he reckoned was the biggest fight of his career so far. The Cowley boxer, who has won on an Anthony Joshua undercard, was set to take on highly-rated 21-year-old Cameron Vuong at the AO Arena in Manchester on April 13.
Oxford’s Flynn boasts nine wins and a draw since his first professional fight in December 2019, while Vuong has claimed four victories, including three knockouts, since July.
However, as reported by Everything Boxing on X, Vuong has suffered a minor injury and the fight will now take place later in June.
“🚨 VUONG-FLYNN POSTPONED
Been told that the April 13 Cameron Vuong-Jordan Flynn battle of unbeatens will be postponed until June.
Vuong has suffered a minor injury.”
The upcoming Matchroom bout will mark 27-year-old Flynn’s first fight since his draw against Kane Baker in August 2023, which was a rematch following Flynn’s previous victory four months prior with a narrow 77-75 points decision.
Interestingly, Baker was set to be squaring off against Michael Gomez Jr. in an English super featherweight title bout on the same Matchroom card where Flynn will be challenging Vuong, but there is no word yet whether that fight has also been moved.
