Inoue is a pound-for-pound great and one of the biggest hitters in the sport. Known as ‘The Monster,’ the Japanese fighter is a four-weight world champion and is undisputed in two weights.
Most recently he stopped Marlon Tapales in December to unify the super-bantamweight division and now he puts his WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO super-bantamweight belts on the line against the Mexican challenger Nery at the Tokyo Dome.
Nery, a former two-weight world champion, clinched the WBC title in both bantamweight and junior featherweight divisions. Since his sole defeat against Brandon Figueroa in May 2021, Nery has bounced back with four consecutive victories.
