Lee Cutler wins WBC International Silver championship
Bournemouth’s Lee “Chaos” Cutler (15-1, 7KO) floored defending WBC International 154lbs Silver champion Stephen “The Hitman” McKenna (15-1, 14KO) twice – in rounds one and seven – to score a majority decision in an exhaustive epic on December 14th in Liverpool.
A fight that lived up to expectations, the new WBC International Silver super-welterweight champion ruined Stevie’s unbeaten record and stopped his string of six successive stoppages.
Cutler is part of Shane McGuigan’s gym in London, coached by former pro, Josh Pritchard.
The big boxing show was promoted at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool by Ben Shalom of BOXXER, with Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price winning their respective welterweight world title fights to set up a unification showdown in 2025.
