Jake Paul must be wary against Mike Tyson: “Keep your f****** hands up”
Iron Mike Tyson is set to step back into the ring against YouTube sensation turned-boxer Jake Paul on July 20 in an event set to be streamed live and free on Netflix.
‘The Problem Child’ has been a controversial figure in the boxing scene since his debut against fellow YouTuber Deji Olatunji back in 2018.
Paul made his professional debut shortly after and has since gone from strength to strength in the ring amassing an impressive record of nine wins with just one defeat.
It has come as a shock to many to see Mike Tyson preparing to step back into the ring, especially considering his 2022 announcement revealing he felt his life was coming to an end.
However, despite the health concerns, ‘Iron Mike’ looks in fantastic shape and fans will be hoping to see flashbacks to the heavyweight icon’s 90s dominance.
While he may be far older than he was in his heyday, the last man to stop Tyson, Kevin McBride, revealed that novice Paul will still need to be wary of the ferocious puncher, once named ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’.
“Keep your f****** hands up and watch that he doesn’t spit out his mouthpiece and, if he does, tell the ref,” McBride revealed to Instant Casino.
“I’d warn Jake Paul to make sure Mike doesn’t spit his mouthpiece out because if he does you never know what’s going to happen.
“You don’t know what Mike Tyson is going to do, he’s a fearsome man. It takes balls to get in the ring with Tyson, even in his fifties, whether you’re a YouTuber or a fighter, it takes big balls, Tyson is no joke.”
McBride clashed with Tyson in 2005, and while the Irishman was behind on two of the scorecards, Tyson quit on his stool after six, gifting McBride the greatest win of his career.
