Jaya Kalsi ranked World No.3 after capturing Bronze at the World Futures Cup in Thailand
Rising boxing star Jaya Kalsi has been officially recognised as one of the world’s elite young fighters after claiming bronze at the prestigious World Futures Cup in Bangkok, ranking her as the third-best Under-19 boxer in the world.
The 16-year-old standout delivered a series of exceptional performances at the tournament, which also served as a key Youth Olympic boxing qualifier, showcasing the skillset and mentality that have quickly set her apart on the international stage.
Representing England Boxing, “Jayweather” Kalsi demonstrated her trademark style throughout combining sharp, accurate combinations with intelligent movement, ring control, and a relentless work rate. Her ability to stay composed under pressure and adapt tactically against international opponents proved decisive across her bouts.

She opened her campaign in dominant fashion, stopping her New Zealand opponent via RSC, underlining both her power and precision. A tightly contested split decision win over Ukraine followed, where her resilience and ring IQ came to the fore in a high-pressure contest.
In the quarterfinals, Kalsi produced one of the standout performances of the tournament, defeating North Korea by unanimous decision. Her timing, shot selection, and control of distance were on full display hallmarks of a boxer far beyond her years.
Her run ended in the semi-finals against a strong USA opponent, securing her a bronze medal and confirming her place among the very best in the world.
With an outstanding record of 40 fights and 35 wins, Kalsi has built a reputation as a complete fighter — technically gifted, mentally strong, and fiercely competitive. Already a European gold medallist and multiple-time national champion, she continues to rise rapidly through the ranks.
The achievement carries even greater significance as the event acts as a pathway to the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar this November. Her bronze medal performance places her in a strong position for qualification, with expectations growing that she will represent her country on one of the biggest stages in youth sport.
Speaking after the tournament, England Boxing praised her not only her performance but also her mindset. Despite the pressure of international competition, Kalsi remained focused and composed, traits that continue to set her apart.
Still only 16 and now ranked No.3 in the world at Under-19 level, Jaya Kalsi is not just a prospect, she is already a force on the global stage.
