Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are both training for their July fight
YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has sent another threat to former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson ahead of their controversial fight in July.
The highly anticipated bout between once-beaten Paul and the legendary Hall of Famer Tyson has sparked global interest, with recent updates shedding light on the event’s rules.
Scheduled for July 20 at Texas’s AT&T Stadium, this historic match marks the first boxing event to stream live on Netflix and as both contenders intensify their training regimes, speculation looms regarding the nature of the contest.
Amid social media rumours, 27-year-old Paul’s promoter Nakisa Bidarian refutes claims of finalised rules and states that no decisions have been made regarding the fight’s structure.
With a forthcoming press tour on the horizon, anticipation builds as fans await clarification on the bout’s regulations.
Before that, in a new video posted on Instagram with the caption ‘I’m gonna bite your ear off Mikey,’ Paul speaks to camera and serves up his taunts ahead of a montage of him on the pads.
“Day three, Mikey, Mikey, your hands can’t hit what your hands can’t see.”
Paul’s last two fights have ended with first-round knockout wins, while Tyson’s last two fights some 20 years ago ended with losses which caused him to retire, although he did have an exhibition with Roy Jones Jar in 2022.
