Jake Paul is already lining up his next fight
YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is confident that he will prevail in his exhibition match with boxing legend Mike Tyson and has already begun naming opponents he would like to fight next.
There has been plenty said about Paul in the build-up to his highly-anticipated July 20 showdown with former heavyweight champion boxer Tyson.
The YouTube star has been criticised for wanting to fight ‘Iron Mike’ at all, given that he is 30 years his senior, but that hasn’t dented his ambitions and some former Tyson opponents have given him some necessary advice.
27-year-old Paul has recently revealed that the Tyson fight at AT&T Stadium is just the tip of the iceberg for him. The Cleveland celebrity, whose only loss has come against Brit Tommy Fury, already has two more names in his sights already.
‘The Problem Child’ Paul has spoken of his desire to fight two mixed martial artists, Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, in future contests.
This would be a huge ask for Paul who is still very much learning the ropes of boxing and would have to make a code switch and learn how to compete in the octagon against two MMA greats.
He has given details of this in an interview with BS w/ Jake Paul, “I’m being so serious when I say I want to fight them in MMA, either Masvidal or Diaz in the PFL. 10 million for either one of those guys. They will hide behind ‘you can’t even box, what are you gunna do?'”
Jake Paul doesn’t seem to think either man would engage in negotiations with either man but stated that the offer stands.
First, he has to get through Mike Tyson, of course, and details of an impressive undercard have been recently revealed with Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano set to engage in a much anticipated rematch.
