Jake Paul confronted by angry boxer outside his gym
Jake Paul, in preparation for his bout against Ryan Bourland, has encountered an unexpected hurdle as an Indian boxer turned up outside his gym for a bit of a war of words.
Neeraj Goyat, who is seemingly hugely driven by a determination to assert his abilities, travelled from his native India all the way to Puerto Rico, where Jake Paul is presently training for his fight on the same card as Amanda Serrano.
Goyat is a skilled boxer with aspirations of competing in the Olympics and he initially challenged Paul after the YouTuber-turned-boxer announced his March 2nd fight. This prompt call-out garnered considerable interest, particularly given Paul’s large Indian following. However, Paul opted for Ryan Bourland, leaving Goyat disheartened.
Consequently, after notifying Paul of his plan to travel to Puerto Rico to confront him directly, Goyat followed through.
All this was captured in an Instagram video that has now been shared in which Goyat can be seen getting out of his car and confronting Paul.
“Oi Jake Paul! I’m the man of my word. I’m here. I’m in your country. I’m here in your town. I’m here in your gym, man. Now abuse. I’m here, I’m in your country. I am in your town! I’m here in your gym man!”.
Paul fronted it out and said repeatedly that Goyat didn’t really want to fight him. Not one to back down, Goyat kept going and Paul reported.
“Listen, brother, you can’t handle all that s**t talk? Did I hurt your feelings?”
At this point, Amanda Serrano stepped in to try and diffuse things and Neeraj told her, ‘I respect you’ and said for her not to intervene.
When Paul again claimed that he didn’t want to fight, Goyat raised his hands and tried to grab Paul before being pulled away.
If Paul gets through his next fight, this one could be a good contest for down the line.
