Matchroom want to make Jack Catterall vs Conah Walker
Manager Sam Jones confirmed the news today that Matchroom Boxing are looking to make the Jack Catterall vs Conah Walker fight this year.
Sam Jones confirmed, “Matchroom would like Catterall to fight Walker, who I obviously look after as well, which puts me in a very awkward position, but at the same time if that’s the fight that Eddie wants to make, it’s a great fight.”
Jack Catterall (32-2, 14 KOs) was defeated by Arnold Barboza Jr. by the narrowest of split decisions in February 2025, but he bounced back with two strong wins over Harlem Eubank and Ekow Essuman in the second half of the year.
Conah Walker (17-3, 8 KOs) reeled off four fine victories in just over a year when he unanimous decisioned Lewis Ritson in November 2024, which was followed by three knockouts over Harry Scarff, Liam Taylor, then unbeaten Pat McCormack in December 2025. That trio of KO wins won him the British, Commonwealth and IBF Inter-Continental welterweight titles.
