New Guy Ritchie trailer sets scene for Riyadh Season card at Wembley
His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has today revealed the new boxing film to promote the highly anticipated Riyadh Season Card Wembley Edition headlined by Daniel Dubois’ first IBF World Heavyweight title defence against Anthony Joshua on Saturday 21st September in London.
The trailer, titled ‘Touching Hands’, sees BigTime Creative Shop team up with critically acclaimed British director Guy Ritchie, renowned for films such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, to craft a thrilling and high-octane cinematic boxing promo video.
Starring Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois, Hamzah Sheeraz, Josh Kelly, Liam Smith, and a number of other top British boxers set to feature on the card at Wembley Stadium, the fighters find themselves in precarious situations where they are seemingly down for the count after taking a serious beating.
Just as all hope seems lost, they manage to conjure up that fighting spirit in them, spurred on by the rousing British sporting anthem ‘Sweet Caroline’, a version of the Neil Diamond classic which has not been heard before.
The juxtaposition of this beautiful ballad with the brutal imagery injects a magical, and absurdly uplifting energy, empowering the fighters to rise and conquer their aggressors inside the Riyadh Season boxing ring.
True to Ritchie’s signature style, the film is gritty, dynamic, and riveting with no CGI transitions to distract, opting instead for a timeless cinematic approach.
Riyadh Season Card Wembley Edition, featuring a special guest performance by Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, is expected to set a new attendance record for boxing in the UK with approval granted just last week to extend the capacity at Wembley to 96,000 after the initial 80,000 allocation sold out.
