Gervonta Davis shows a message from Eddie Hearn disproving £25 million offer to fight Conor Benn
Matchroom Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, claimed that WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis turned down $25 million to fight Conor Benn.
The two unbeaten rivals have been locked in a war of words ever since the Brit’s points win over Peter Dobson on February 3.
However, the Baltimore boxer took to social media to prove that offer was misleading, sharing a private message from Hearn that shows he offered far less than that.
On X, he commented “25 mil where?” with a screen shot of Hearn’s message that read: “We would offer $10,000,000 plus an upside on the gate and PPV that I would like to discuss further with you.”

Reactions on social media were mixed:
“So not 25 as Eddie claimed”.
“Exactly what text says is what he offered, he said it could be worth up to 25 with gate and PPV.”
“If Conor Benn is so easy, it will be the easiest £10 million you ever got so take the fight, stop crying.”
“Some people need to understand the difference between “potentially” and “guaranteed”.”
“Decent offer, that’s what Eddie said.”
“Oi lets have it right… Hearn said it “could be” worth up to 25 mil, perhaps a little optimistic but he’s a promoter, what do you expect from any of them, plus 10 mil ain’t bad and willing to discuss PPV etc. so it’s more than 10 mil c’mon now, behave yourself.”
“To be fair, Eddie was clear this time, it was worth up to with PPV etc.”
