Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke settle their ‘Bad Blood’ on March 31
Ipswich’s Fabio Wardley (17-0, 16KO) is building up towards his March 31st grudge match with fellow Brit Frazer Clarke (8-0, 6KO) and has now made a bold prediction for the heavyweight title fight.
Wardley will be defending his British and Commonwealth titles in a bout that has been dubbed ‘Bad Blood’ when he comes up against unbeaten rival and former Olympian Clarke.
29-year-old Wardley has much less experience in boxing having bypassed the amateurs and come up through the white-collar ranks instead, but has done more so for since turning pro in April 2017.
Trained by Robert Hodgins, he is so far unbeaten and has stopped all but one of his opponents inside the distance.
Last time out, Fabio took apart David Adeleye on the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou undercard while ‘Big Fraze’ went 10 rounds against former world title challenger Mariusz Wach and then forced domestic rival David Allen into retirement in the sixth-round.
In a message posted on X by Sky Sports Boxing, Wardley says he is always looking to end his fights early.
“I think my record speaks for itself. I am always looking for the knockout. I’m always looking for an early night. I’m not trying to stay in there too long and take too much damage. The sooner it gets done the better for me but that is always the objective, to knock my opponent out, make the fight entertaining and get my hand raised.”
