Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke heated head to head at Portman Road
Two British heavyweights Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke have come together for a face-off at the stadium of Championship side Ipswich Town.
They will meet in a ‘Bad Blood’ showdown for the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles on Sunday, March 31 at The O2 in London.
Both men are undefeated, though Clarke is an Olympian with far more amateur experience, with Wardley’s career as a professional viewed as highly impressive considering his lack of amateur bouts.
Wardley is a long-time Ipswich fan who is no doubt delighted with his side’s performance this season. They were only new to the Championship at the start of the season, but currently sit in second place, primed for promotion to the Premier League.
He proudly donned their scarf and headed onto the pitch to confront rival Clarke, who was initially wearing the shirt of their arch rivals, Norwich, before getting hold of an Ipswich shirt and stamping it into the dirt!
A video shared on X by Clarke’s promoter BOXXER captured the heated face-to-face with the comment “It might be Frazer vs The Tractor Boys before the night is out”
Wardley can be heard telling Clarke “bad choice” over his shirt, and Clarke responded by saying to the fans “you’re all coming back with me, buy a ticket, let’s be having you!”
This is a great match up between two Brits with a bit of needle, which also sees the return of fan-favourite Alan Babic on the card, and it will be shown live on Sky Sports.
