David Avanesyan back on a BCB show
Armenian Avanesyan commences comeback campaign
The Tommy Collins vs. Sajid Abid ‘Winter War’ undercard at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on December 20th has four new huge additions to add to the already announced Ben Collins and Levi Vaughan.
World-class welterweight David Avanesyan (30-5-1) will once again box on a BCB show as he looks to keep his ring sharpness as he awaits another major opportunity.
The 36-year-old former word champion managed by Neil Marsh was unsuccessful in his IBF world title bid, stopped by Jarron Ennis in five rounds in July, but is still ranked at four in the Ring Magazine rankings.
With five successful defences of the European title as well as beating Hall of Famer Shane Mosley, the Armenian-born Russian is still very much a dangerman at 147lbs, and the Carl Greaves-trained power puncher returns to the same venue that he stopped Serge Ambomo in last December.
Joining Avanesyan, the highly motivated Tom Brennan (6-3-2) felt aggrieved to come away from his six-round contest with Sam Kirk in Ipswich with a draw, and the Worcester-born middleweight will be wanting to get back in the winning column ahead of some big nights in 2025.
Bradley Thompson (5-0) is boxing this Saturday on the undercard of his brother Liam Davies IBO World Super Bantamweight Title defence against Shabaz Masoud, and his active end to the year sees the Telford flyweight step up to six rounds for the first time.
Fresh off a successful pro debut at the Hangar Venue in Wolverhampton in October, Burntwoods Jack Finlan (1-0) will box for the second time and looks to build on his impressive four rounds he shared with Simas Volosinas.
Tickets are available now priced at £45 standard and £80 VIP from the boxers directly or by emailing info@bcb-promotions.com.
