Powerful Christian Mbilli destroyed Mark Heffron in a matter of moments
On May 25, Mark Heffron (30-4-1, 24KO) boldly travelled over to enemy territory in Quebec, Canada to face the fearsome WBC #2 super-middleweight contender Christian Mbilli (27-0, 23KO), but it did not bode well for the Brit.
The ‘Solide’ Mbilli had a stooped stance as he targeted the body right from the off. He was hunched over, looking like Mike Tyson with his style, whipping in body shots with plenty of venom. He backed the Brit up to the corner where he missed over the top with a right hook then followed with a left to the body in the same movement.
The 32-year-old from Oldham immediately went down and couldn’t get back to his feet.
The official time of the knockout was just 40 seconds.
WBC and WBA #2 Mbilli will likely go on to be in prime position to challenger undisputed super-middleweight king Canelo next. However, reports are that Mbilli will face Sergiy Derevyanchenko in August.
