Carl Froch took to his YouTube channel to call Dillian Whyte out on his radio silence
Dillian Whyte (29-3,19 KOs) was due to face Anthony Joshua on August 12, 2023, in a rematch of their 2015 bout which saw Whyte stopped in the seventh after a stunning uppercut from the former world champion led to the stoppage.
Unfortunately for both parties, Whyte tested positive for a banned substance – for the second time in his career – quickly prompting Joshua to seek a new foe, leading to ‘AJ’s’ victory over Robert Helenius.
British boxing legend Carl Froch has taken to his YouTube channel to question Dillian Whyte’s radio silence since his positive test, looking back at ‘The Body Snatchers’ bout with ‘AJ’ in 2015.
“He’s gone quiet, Dillian Whyte. He was supposed to fight Anthony Joshua in a rematch, they boxed as amateurs? They boxed as pros, he clipped AJ, wobbled him a little bit. AJ fought back, knocked him out with an uppercut. Good fight.”
The pundit continued, discussing the events surrounding the failed attempt at a 2023 rematch between the pair.
“He [AJ] was supposed to fight Dillian Whyte in a rematch and Dillian Whyte failed a drugs test, and yeah, he’s vanished. He’s gone quiet, there’s nothing happening.”
Carl Froch went on to reach out to the 35-year-old Londoner, inviting him on to his YouTube channel, to find out what the boxer has been up to.
“If anyone knows where Dillian Whyte’s gone let us know in the comments below. Dillian Whyte if you’re watching, reach out. We will get you on this channel, we’ll have a chat, we’ll see what you are up to. But to answer your question, I don’t know what’s happened to Dillian Whyte, I don’t know where he is.
When news of the drug test first surfaced, Whyte was quick to claim his innocence. However, since then he’s completely vanished from the radar.
Will we see Whyte in the ring again, or will a messy month in 2023 spell the end of the fighting man’s career?
