Carl Froch accuses John Fury of being a loudmouth and a coward
After being called out by an angry John Fury last week at the Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov launch press conference, Carl Froch has responded to the altercation that instantly went viral by accusing the 60-year-old Irishman of being an attention-seeker.
Tyson Fury’s dad, known as “Big” John Fury, decided to call out boxer-turned-pundit Carl Froch during an X-rated rant in London, angrily shouting, “I’m John Fury, where the f*** are you, let’s get it on. Where are you pal? Let’s get the f*** on with it. Here I am, they talk about me day and night on video! Here I am, I’m here to fight. Where are you? Where the f*** are you? The world’s been calling me a f***ing s***house.”
Former world champion Froch dismissed the ex-convict’s antics as a desperate attempt for attention, “I don’t know if he was after me or if he was after my producer, but either way, he came down the stairs and just like I thought, he calls everyone a s***house.
“He’s shouting ‘Carl Froch.’ So he’s shouting my name. He knows exactly where I am because he’s just seen me. I’ve got nowhere to go because I’m in the studio. And when you’re on that platform you’ve got nowhere to run.
“So I thought: ‘Listen, if he comes on top and he comes for me, then I’m going to have to just do what they call a pre-emptive strike, volley him down the stairs, iron him out and easy work for the Cobra.’
“But he didn’t come to it because the big s***house, who calls everyone else a s***house, didn’t want any smoke.
“All he wanted was the stupid attention. That’s all he was looking for.”
