Super lightweight prospect Adam Azim used to share the classroom with another famous athlete before taking the boxing world by storm
The undefeated 21-year-old sensation, Adam Azim, has shot through the rankings after turning professional in 2020, currently 11 bouts unbeaten.
In an interview with Sky Sports, the current European super lightweight champion, Adam Azim, revealed that he knows Fulham striker Armando Broja from his school days.
“It was great, me and him [Broja] were a bit of a troublemaker back in school days. Now we are both mature, and now we are just hopefully taking over the sport.”
Broja is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Fulham, currently on loan from Chelsea. Born in England, he also plays for the Albania national team.
Azim continued, “I used to play it [football] myself, but my dad used to play for QPR academy. I wasn’t necessarily good at football, but I’m a better boxer.”
21-year-old Slough stylist, Azim, is currently on the cusp of entering the super lightweight top 15, rated #23 with the WBC as of February 2024.
In his last outing on February 3, ‘The Assassin’ came away with a fifth-round stoppage victory after his opponent, Enock Poulsen, was counted out due to a shoulder injury.
