Here are the highlights from the event’s final press conference:
OSLEYS IGLESIAS, IBO Super Middleweight World Champion: “As you know, I’m a man of few words, but they call me Iglesias the Tornado. Come see me on Thursday night, and you’ll see what I’m made of.”
PETRO IVANOV, Undefeated Super Middleweight Contender: “Osleys Iglesias is very good. It’s a big challenge, but it’s exactly the kind of challenge I was looking for. I fight to win world titles, and for that, I fight to face guys like him.”
STEVEN BUTLER, Former Two-Time Middleweight World Title Challenger: “The opponent has changed, but that doesn’t alter my game plan. I won’t be looking for the KO. I want to win, and Thursday night I’ll do what’s necessary to get back on the path to victory.”
CAMILLE ESTEPHAN, EOTTM President: “What’s happening here on Thursday is really significant on the global stage. Osleys Iglesias is the IBO champion, but more than that, he’s a special talent, and we’re lucky to have him here. I think he’s one of the best we’ve seen in Quebec since Artur Beterbiev and Christian Mbilli.”
A limited number of tickets for the #IglesiasIvanov gala are still available on Ticketmaster. The entire event will be streamed live on www.punchinggrace.com, with part of the undercard also available on TVA Sports.
