There are five potential future world champions from the UK currently working their way up the rankings
There are presently a quintet of potential future world champions from the UK all holding ranking titles with the IBO.
These five rising stars are looking to build on their title triumphs and accompanying world rankings to join the likes of UK and Irish world titleholders Jono Carroll (IBO World super-featherweight), Pierce O’Leary (IBO World super-lightweight), Lauren Price (IBO World welterweight).
Kyle Davies (12-0, 8 KOs)
IBO European light-heavyweight champion
25 from Stoke-on-Trent, Kyle Davies won the IBO European light-heavyweight title with a fifth-round knockout of unbeaten Aaron Bird in November 2025 in his local city.
Managed by Joe Eccleston, fighting out of the Bluestone Boxing Club, Davies has stopped his last four foes in a row, with a combined record of 41-16.
He is ranked IBO #62.
Artjom Kasparian (14-0, 12 KOs)
IBO Continental light-heavyweight champion
Netherlands-born Artjom Kasparian boxes out of Atrincham, England.
The 30-year-old heavy-handed light-heavyweight has stopped his last seven opponents and has an 85% KO ratio.
In his last outing, Kasparian won the IBO Continental light-heavyweight title against 28-4 Slovakian Robert Racz via seventh-round TKO.
He is ranked IBO #59
Jack McGann (13-2-1, 7 KOs)
IBO Continental middleweight champion
Merseyside middleweight Jack ‘The Pilgrim’ McGann won the IBO European super-welterweight title in his ninth bout in 2023.
He was the cause of a big surprise in Saudi Arabia when fighting on the Anthony Joshua-Francis Ngannou card, but not a good one. Medway’s Louis Greene upset his meteoric rise and unbeaten record with a quick stoppage win in under 90 seconds.
He was disappointed again in 2024 when he was stopped in four rounds by Sam Gilley for the Commonwealth super-welterweight belt.
But during 2025 he won all three fights, culminating in collecting the IBO Continental middleweight title via UD.
Eithan James (16-2)
IBO Continental super-welterweight champion
‘Jammy’ is 25 from Northampton. Despite stoppage losses to undefeated Brits Owen Cooper and Constantin Ursu, the former WBO European welterweight champion is now the reigning IBO Continental super-welterweight champion after a unanimous decision win over 17-1 Dom Hunt in March this year.
Lewis Sylvester (18-1, 4 KOs)
IBO Continental welterweight champion
28 from Hull, Lewis Sylvester claimed the vacant IBO Continental welterweight title against Reece Mould at Doncaster Rover’s stadium in May 2025, where he returns a year later on May 16 to take on former IBO World champion Maxi Hughes.
