Yuliahn Luna defeats Jessica Gonzalez
At the Municipal Auditorium of Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, Yuliahn ‘Cobrita’ Luna Avila (24-3-1, 4KO) defended her World Boxing Council Bantamweight Title by defeating Interim Division Champion Jessica ‘Magnifica’ González (8-6-2, 1KO) by unanimous decision.
The two champions gave their all from the opening bell, however 28-year-old Mexican Luna managed to impose her rhythm and take the fight to middle distance where her attacks caused more damage, which was reflected in her fellow Mexican González’s face.
The judges’ scores were 99-91, 99-91 and 98-92, all in favor of the champion Yuliahn Luna, who gave a great performance in front of her people in Reynosa.
