Star Turn as “Cobrita” retains WBC Bantamweight crown
World Boxing Council bantamweight ruler Yuliahn ‘Cobrita’ Luna retained her World Boxing Council bantamweight crown, defeating Argentina’s Vanesa Lorena Taborda by a wide margin.
The card was presented by Promociones del Pueblo in association with BXSTRS Promotions, it was broadcast to all of Latin America through the international signal of ESPN Knockout from the Dome of the Fresnillo Fair.
The experienced Taborda has fought a dozen champions, but it wasn’t enough to defeat this one! ‘Cobrita’ struck again from long distance, with precision power against the Cordoba woman, who even visited the canvas at the beginning of the match.
Luna, who was the star, kept Taborda in her orbit, winning practically every round from start to finish.
The Judges’ scores were: 100-89, 100-89 and 99-90, all for Luna.

The bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Yuliahn Luna, came to Coffee Tuesday virtually to talk about her recent third starting defense.
Luna defeated the experienced Vanesa Taborda, last weekend, via unanimous decision.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman thanked her for her loyalty and congratulated her on her great performance. Mauricio asked hER about the possibility of facing the super bantamweight monarch, Yamileth Mercado, who recently commented on his interest in fighting for said crown.
“I’m here to prove who I am. I want to face the best and I’m ready for the big challenges. I’ve been hearing rumors for a while about her interest in facing me and I’m more than willing.
