Canelo and Plant confirm clash for super-middleweight supremacy
Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez (56-1-2, 38KOs), from Guadalajara, and Caleb Plant (21-0, 12KOs), from Ashland City, Tennessee, have struck a deal and will clash on November 6, in Las Vegas, for all the super-middleweight belts.
Both fighters confirmed the fight through their social networks platforms.
“This November 6 we are going to put Mexican boxing on top. Let’s go for the missing belt! ”Canelo wrote.
“You’ll see soon, I promise you,” penned Plant in response.
Additional terms regarding this important fight will be announced in the coming days.
Canelo is the current WBC, WBA, WBO super-middleweight world champion, while Plant is going to place his IBF world title on the line in this winner takes all contest.
The victor will become the first undisputed world champion at 168 pounds.
