Introducing six-time national champion Maiseyrose Courtney
Pro debutant Maiseyrose Courtney is the first female boxer to train out of the Matchroom Elite Gym with Tony Sims.
From Repton Amateur Boxing Club, Courtney started boxing at just eight years old and went on to become a six-time national champion and a Team England representative.
The 22-year-old takes on Hungarian Judit Hachbold (5-17, 1KO) this Saturday, October 29 at the Wembley Arena, London live on DAZN.
Courtney fights on the perfect stage as she debuts on the undercard of the greatest female fighter of all time in Ireland’s Katie Taylor, who is the main reason why Courtney has the opportunity to box on such a big platform.
She attended Thomas Tallis School in Kidbrooke, London, named after the composer Thomas Tallis, who lived in Greenwich.
The debutant weighed in at 113.5lbs for her 4×2 international flyweight contest with Hachbold, who came in at 111.15lbs on the scales.
Who is her opponent?
From Kiskörös, Hungary, Judit Hachbold (5-17, 1KO) is a 5′ 1″ minimumweight boxer. Her alias is 'Tigress' and she has fought in England three times before – against Kate Radomska; Chloe Watson; Kristina O'Hara.
