Things you didn't know about Braian Nahuel Suarez
Manchester's ‘King’ Lyndon Arthur (21-1, 15KO) will face dangerous Argentine Braian Nahuel Suarez (18-1, 17KO) this Friday, March 24th at the University of Bolton Stadium on a Wasserman Boxing event, broadcast live on Channel 5.
As it's his first fight abroad, not much is known about the South American, so BBN have listed a host of facts below so fight fans can get to know the visitor better:
Braian Nahuel Suarez Facts
Born in March 24, 1992, Braian Nahuel Suarez is 30-years-old from Hurlingham, Buenos Aires, Argentina. His forthcoming fight with Arthur will be on his 31st birthday.
He fought Carlos Gongora in the amateurs during the Giraldo Cordova Cardin Tournament – Light Heavyweight – Semi-final. He also competed in the World Series Boxing.
Aged 24, Suarez won his pro debut on December 16, 2016, with a second round stoppage of 1-0 Hernan David Perez.
He won his first eight pro bouts by stoppage.
The champion has won the Argentinian title at light-heavyweight; he has won the WBA Fedebol title twice at light-heavyweight and once at cruiserweight; and also lifted the WBO Latino light-heavyweight belt most recently.
His sole career defeat was to sharp Venezuelan southpaw Albert Ramirez, who set a blisteringly high pace to knock Suarez down twice in the first round, the time of stoppage recorded at 2:31 straight after a big right hand connected cleanly. Ramirez is still unbeaten and went on to win the WBO Global cruiserweight title in his next bout.
94% of his wins have come vis KO.
His career best win was his stunning seventh-round stoppage victory over Durval Elias Palacio, who was 9-1, 6KOs, at the time. Suarez was down in the first round falling under the heavy pressure applied by Palacio, a chopping right hook on the ropes getting the job done, then the pair traded leather in a highly exciting clash filled with non-stop action that swung back and forth until the finish where Suarez punched his opponent through the ropes and into submission – watch below:
