Franchón ‘The Heavy Hitting Diva’ Crews-Dezurn (12-1, 10KO) vs Savannah ‘The Silent Assassin’ Marshall (8-1, 2KO) takes place tonight in Manchester, live on Sky Sports Action (Sky channel 407) from 7pm-11pm.
On the star-studded undercard, rising star Ben Whittaker (3-0, 2KO) takes on Slovakian Vladimir Belujsky (13-6-1, 9KO) over eight rounds at light-heavyweight. But who is his fourth opponent? Find out everything you need to know about 'Big Bad Vlad' below:
Who is Vladimir Belujsky?
Vladimir was born 28th October, 1995 in Kezmarok, Slovakia. He is currently 27-years-old.
The Slovakian national moved to Cork, Ireland on his 13th birthday. He loves Ireland and plans to stay there forever.
He did a bit of boxing training in Slovakia before he was a teenager, his older brother had over 50 fights and was his inspiration, saying that he copied him and only went to the gym to annoy him!
He said his brother got into a lot of street fights in his local area in Slovakia and never lost. Vlad recalls looking up to his brother because everyone was scared of him.
His alias is ‘Big Bad Vlad’ and is also known as ‘The Slovak Rebel’.
He reprsented Ireland as an amateur and fought in New York once. He recalls being slow to warm into his amateur bouts, stating that he always lost rounds one and two, but always won round three, which, of course, didn't work out well for him in the amateurs.
He beat a multi-time national champion to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympics for Slovakia but was later told they wouldn't gamble on him and were sticking with the opponent he had just beaten. He was heartbroken, but then it was even worse for him when he learned the chosen boxer ended up failing a drugs test and it was to late to organise him as a replacement, so no one went in the end!
He is managed by Conor Slater, who also manages unbeaten prospect Ryan O'Rourke, and promoted by Assassin Boxing.
The light-heavyweight is 6'0" (183cm).
He has fought in England, Ireland, Mexico, Scotland, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Canada and Czech Republic.
He challenged for the WBC Youth World Super Middleweight title in 2019.
He is the former Global Boxing Council World Super Middleweight champion.
Last year Vlad took Jack Cullen the distance over eight rounds, then went eight rounds with Karol Itauma but was stopped with just over a minute to go.
Belujsky has knocked out nine of his 13 victims, that's a 69% KO ratio.
He has sparred with Chris Eubank Jr., Spike O'Sullivan and Gilberto Ramirez.
The talented boxer went to college and university to earn his Masters in Business, and he credits the discipline he learnt in boxing for becoming such a successful scholar.
