Introducing José “Chapulín” Salas
José Salas Reyes (13-0, 10KO) is getting ready for his third fight of 2023 with the firm intention of improving in the WBC rankings.
Currently, he is already ranked 21st in the WBC super bantamweight ratings.
Represented by Bxstrs Promotions José Salas returns to his native Tijuana on Friday, October 20, against Florentino “Violento” Pérez at the Fausto Gutiérrez Moreno Auditorium.
21-year-old youngster José has a record of 13 wins with 10 victories by way of KO and has just won by technical knockout against Aston Palicte as part of the card featuring the historic Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. clash in Las Vegas in July.
The World Boxing Council has recognised the promising efforts of this Tijuana talent and urge him to continue working with the same professionalism with which he has always conducted himself so far.
Ranked in the top 10 super-bantamweights in Mexico, this southpaw sensation has already seen off two unbeaten opponents in 2-0 Exon Martinez Munoz in his third fight, and 23-0 Prince Dzanie, who was a Ghanaian Bantamweight champion, ranked No.1 in his country.
Keep an eye out for this rising star!
